Avoid The Warp

Boxed in and isolated.  Some windows, a few doors, mild connectivity.  Passive, dismissive, and distant.  Arms length, for your own good, for shelter from the storm.  To your corners.

The wilting is ugly, at first there's hope, then decline depressions, ashes to ashes is about right.  Remember what can be remembered.  Forget the rest.  Brain capacity is enormous, but wasted density can ruin thoughts.  Avoid the warp.

Take the jump, it'll work out some way or another.  How you use your days is how you use your life.  Wear it out.  Go broken.  Lay it all on the line, like soldiers.

5/28/21

Gleaming Orange

It's mostly irrelevant anyway, but not always.  Not when it's necessary, not when it must.  The maze is discovered dead end by dead end.  Intuition, the 7th sense.  You just know.

The patio lights are gleaming orange, dusk is here.  Each day is like its own life, beginning, middle, and end.  No escaping the sleep, no deprivation.  Early risers need a cat nap, need to replenish for the night, need a mood swing.  Need some music.

Even the fools and cleaned wake up at some point.  Those protest 2X4's are double the cost!  The stimulus is long gone, feeling the high prices.  Sacrifice has limits, things will change.  Pain is a catalyst.

Tech Line Blues

Good, good, glad for you.
I can't connect, all my tricks are used.
Next stop is the tech line blues.
Next stop is the tech line blues.

My misery doesn't love company.
Happy you're running smooth.
Thanks for the tech line number.
Got nothing else to lose.

Muttered all morning with hells and damns.
Called the robot number a defeated man.
Run the virus cleaner for connection jams.
Run the virus cleaner for connection jams.

My misery doesn't love company.
Happy your running smooth.
Virus cleaner fixed me up.
That's really good good news.

Block Out The Junk

Perhaps go to an 11 foot goal and a bigger court.  Bring back short shorts, something, anything.  Red, white, and blue ball.  A green ball.  Now it's all swish and dunk, swish and dunk, shoot out the funk, block out the junk, all we get now is swish and dunk.

Either loved or hated, either is better than neither.  This is entertainment, it must be interesting.  And fun.  Downers are mostly unsuccessful, depending on your definition of unsuccessful, of course.  They suck.

It's rather predictable, this reaction to the action.  Time waits for no one, and it won't wait for me.  Hours are like diamonds, don't let them waste.  I know it's only rock and roll, but I like it.  Yes I do.

Tijuana Taxi

-Breaker 1-9 it's a Radio Check, come on.
-Said, breaker 1-9 it's a Radio Check, come on.
-Been driving so long, feel the miles in my bones, wanna stop, but I got to move on.
-Come on, breaker 1-9 it's a Radio Check, come on.

9er, this is Hornet.  There's a Bad Scene ahead.  Gimme your 10-20, maybe you can avoid it.  It's the Piggy Bank getting the Green Stamps.

-Yes, I know the cargo gotta get through.
-Oh yes, i know the cargo gotta get through.
-Next I knew, sky turned blue, thunderclouds started to brew.
-Oh yes, I know, I know the cargo gotta get through.

Copy that, this is Headhunter.  Don't wanna Feed The Bears, but I'm Dropping The Hammer.  That Tijuana Taxi can't hide, saw Rusty at the Eyeball.  Maybe on the Flip Flop we can Hollar.

-Good Lord, how I miss my sweet honey pie.
-Oh Lord, you know I miss my honey pie.
-Can't forget her eyes, can't forget her thighs, way she looks in the neon light.
-Good Lord, how I miss my honey pie.

Lemon Juicing

In war, shooting first is less important than shooting last.  Competency is ultimately rewarded.  Just think of David, been true for thousands of years.  Incredible slingshot, ruthless.  Take out the giant first.

These are not humane conditions, fire and smoke and ashes.  Mercy for the quiters, but no dignity remains.  White flaggers.  They should hang their heads for the rest of their days, forgiven or not.  Crumbled, mumbled, humbled pie.

Lemon juicing, making the sour face.  Bitter it up, pout.  Frown more.  Send a statement, call a press conference,  proclamate.  Cry.

5/15/21

Fuzzy On The Details

Consulted with officials.  They know the truth, they always know the truth.  Inquired on the lights, the hoverings, the accounts.  Memory metal.  Even the officials were fuzzy on the details.

First off, they are not green.  The aliens, the aliens are not green.  Their exterior color is indescribable, it's not from our known spectrum.  Supernova tint, almost an inch thick, more hidelike than skinlike.  Smooth, like high dollar leather.

Their noises are peculiar, codes and beeps, very sophisticated, no grunts or growls.  Attire is sparse, bland, colorless.  And robot hats, little robot hats balanced atop their heads.  According to officials, aliens are horrible listeners, maybe they just don't care.  Maybe they can't hear, maybe they have no ears.

5/13/21

Surf The Earth

These same faces looking to check out and cash out, keep the bills humming, their time is coming down.  Now to the hookups, leave the legacy, leave the bank.  Money's money, it all spends the same.  Even if caught, it doesn't matter, there's little risk involved.  They got the public shamers on their side, they got the muzzlers on their side, they got the law on their side.

The courts are mucky and murky.  The entire branch is infected and bridle, the other branches seem much stronger.  Something about case load and those dastardly lawyers.  But a lawyer's a lawyer, they lawyer, it's what they do, it's who they are, it's why they are.  Busting out hours and hours, the numbers have to add up, there is no fast and cheap.

Each with an empire, and a country estate.  Commoners fawn, but there's a resistance, there's a disobiedience, there's independence.  Justice isn't usually a linear situation, karma moves more like a nebula, reason can be lost.  Reactions to actions are assured.  For now, rise with the spinning day, surf the earth, shine.

5/11/21

A Good Airing Out

We the government?  No way.  Clear out your house, open the windows for a good airing out.  Musty and dank, needs a fresh coat, needs a brightening up, needs some work, new faces.  Some elbow grease.

Fool the fooled, who cares?  Fool the dumb, the envious, and the guilt ridden too.  They want to be fooled by fools, ironically, so they can have a fool to blame when it's obvious they've been fooled.  It's subconscious, or something, or the other.  I'm no doctor, validate that yourself, I just observe transparently as I report.

What's the worry?  Time is on our side.  Haven't missed dusk or dawn yet, still kicking, still chilling, still at it.  Nothing but paradise ahead, nothing but forever.  The pain is a pain, but we got stuff for pain.

5/10/21

Universally Ignored

Little minded tyrants gonna do little minded tyranny, a truth as true as all the other truths.  The leader placed upon us, the leader that earned nothing, a leader who shakes and wobbles, who flops.  No one should follow a flopper.  They should be rightly, and apathetically, dismissed.  Floppers garner no sympathy, they are universally ignored.

Then the floppers start in with crying, like a pity pool of self righteous tears.  Crocodile tears.  Vile reptiles.  Sob, sob.  Sniffle, sniffle.

Then the crying babies start in with the fits, like stomping and clenching nitwits.  Demanding attention by any means, no honey, no sugar, that was already consummed.  Those nitwits tend to eat dessert first, won't touch their greens, lots of potatoes, partial to greasy foods.  Makes me queasy.

5/4/21

The Loud Crowd

The loud crowd, gonna have their say.
The loud crowd, set the city ablaze.
The loud crowd, spit when they scream.
The loud crowd, all loud and mean.

The loud crowd, their humor is gone.
The loud crowd, like a rooster at dawn.
The loud crowd, got a book contract.
The loud crowd, cover their tracks.

The loud crowd, nosey and smug.
The loud crowd, irritating bugs.
The loud crowd, listen close to this.
The loud crowd, put me on a list.

The loud crowd, noise pollution.
The loud crowd, no solutions.
The loud crowd, got a king and queen.
The loud crowd, all loud and mean.

Times Is Times

Thinking of the peaceful times, the good times.  Those in the past, those currently, and those in the future.  Knowing they will exist is a comfort, they come and go like the breeze.  Times is times, can't be calm and still too much.  Might go crazy, might go to sleep, might become hypnotized and detached.

Pay attention, then reflect and think.  It can become a habit.  Prior to concluding, prior to acting, prior to perfecting.  Understand.  There are no journalists to tell you what's real, only the gonzoing underground, only people, only words of glow remain.

Use the senses, intuitions, the gut feelings. Complement with facts and ignore intimidation.  Tone is irrelevant, especially in matters of the rational brain.  Blood is blood, only types matter.  Don't even know mine by heart.

Fundamentally unserious.
Quit America long ago.
These masked bandits.
Bag lady is back.
Tacky, and low class.
On the take.

Dose of hope.
Dose of  DNA.
Dose of doubt.
Dose of patience.
Shout out to the churches.
Feed the world.

Thanks for wrecking the cities last summer.
With your racey spoon.
Good God, it's Lyndon Freaking Johnson, Jr.
Purify the oceans for water.
But gas is almost 4 bucks again.
Sad scene in the gallery.

Bored, greasy clappers.
Think about it.
The cowards of DC.
Cheering each other.
Like Oscar or Grammy.
You don't know what I'm wondering.

Only squares want to fit in.
Blah, blah, unions, blah, blah.
Tons of chicks make more cash than me.
Go get it, money is easy to make.
Nod, nod, yes, yes.
Fuck cancer!

Echoes, echoes, yes, yes, clap, clap.
All the years of talking and talking.
In the upper chamber.
Their fair share, just their fair share.
Profits talk hushed the place.
Wealth is the reward for work.

Makes me want to yell it.

Good Lord, Good Lord.
Get so bored.

The Theory Of So.

The world is unfair, there are injustices! So.  Those politicians are thieves and crooks!  So.  Now what?

They're such liars and tyrants!  So.  Propaganda is creating division and violence!  So.  Why pay attention to them?

People will die, the future is bleak!  So.  Poor people are poor!  So.  What are you going to do with your remaining days?

4/18/21

In Search Of Taste

Tracking the river, we crossed at a shallow spot.  Loaded and hunting swine, or any other lowland creature, went to get off some rounds.  Nothing in the afternoon, all the lowland creatures were sleeping, or hiding.  The merry band was coming, they stayed put.  Live to wallow another day.

Riled up and loud, these political suckers got hooked.  Convincing the convinced, educating the educated, yelling in our ears.  Only freedom given away is lost.  No more explanations are needed, but opinions are tolerated.  Draw your conclusions.

They run at night, toward the wind.  Destructive and haphazardly.  In search of life itself, in search of taste.  The future is pointless, it's uncertainties and probabilities.  It's truth.

4/12/21

Distinctive Whiff Of Sewer

Calm near the end, the lame ducks are walking by.  Kicked up and trippy, semi-immune, mixing it up, keeping it down, staying zoned out, staying tuned in.  Laugh it off like weasels and hyenas, give the crazy eyes.  Smell the bad, it's distinctive whiff of sewer.  Waste management experts and robbers.

Watch the technology enthusiasts, the finance nerds, the rational oddballs.  Doing the contrarian shake, go hard against the wave, may need to hold your breath for a few, but patience will prevail.  Oxygen is close, sweet air.  Steady.  Don't panic, don't freak.

Disobey.  With civilized dignity.  At a cost you can afford.  Inquire, ask for explanations.  Rules ain't just rules, that is no legitimate justification for a rule.

4/9/21

Charades And Twister

All around the lifted house was green beach grass, covering about an acre.  Palm trees with mostly drooping brown branches, a few green ones sprouting out the top, the taller the tougher.  The sea was a quarter mile down a paved road, the music of the water could be heard always, three little birds trading lead vocals, the waves roaring the melody.  A few barking percussions.  Mostly, though, it was quiet.

Rigged up world of pixels and worry.   Alerts, notifications, and red warnings.  Maneuvers, exercises, and mundane methods.  Silence.  The mind won't be left behind.

Designed to give a sense of missing out, of being out of touch, of being asleep.  But sleep is good, rest the soul.  Grifters and goons, masked and proud, conformed and washed.  All dressed up, ready to pin the tail on the donkey and drink the grape punch.  Their parties suck, nothing but charades and twister.

Something about the sea.
Helps me think so freely.
Helps me think so deeply.
Figure it out in Galveston.

Laughing Down Seawall Boulevard

Through Houston in a slow flash, the sprawl goes on and on and on, and finally over the causeway to Galveston Island.  Paradise city, The Strand, and all the BOI's.  Born On Island, disconnected from the start.  Like the local pirates Walter Kennedy and Edward Teach, also known as Blackbeard, disconnected from the start.

The smell of sea.  Gets all over, the nature of elements.  Water, sand, wind, salt, mixed with marine life, and death.  Ocean birds get their eats, elusive predators, coasters, gliders.  Quick and chirpy.

Beach house colors, bright and proud, on stilts, ready for the inevitable hurricanes of some future late summer.  When the Gulf Of Mexico heats up, when the fierce storms get whipped up in the Atlantic and make their way past the Caribbean Islands.  There they cook in a tropical oven, there they bake.  Round and round the weird, peaceful eye, the outer bands of floods and twisters, like a loud voice announcing the destruction.  Laughing down Seawall Boulevard.

4/4/21

Born To Be Bribed

All the followers followed along.  Didn't make a fuss, no big deal, in the name of self-righteous responsibility.  Despite the deaths, despite the scenarios, despite the flimsy, using back-to-normal as a silly reward.  The fearless and rational are not normal, welcome to liberty.  There's a major league moon tonight, illuminating the dark, past our time.

Assume at your own risk, these young adults will not fold.  They will snap the chat, pass the digital cash, and ignore authority.  Get your sleep, these fools will be woke all night, their yawns are boring, their blood red eyes burn, their minds are minimized, they are lethargic and angry.  Thin skinned, irritated.  The kind of people that demand apologies.

In El Paso, a witless opportunist wants us to look up his nose as he spits on the screen and tries to say words.  Weird lunatic with low class instincts and inauthentic expressions.  Inarticulate and unremarkable, postureless and frail.  Uninspiring and sour, unfriendly and unkind.  Born to be Beto, born to be bribed.

Locals Know The Tally

Ask the desert night, wonder why, baffle about.  There is no point.  We are gone.  As a critic, as a dissident, as a rational thinker, needed is a drawing board.  Document the storms of your brain, narrow, then narrow more.

Nostalgia will do no good, perhaps a minor hint of inspiration, it's useless in the end.  Only the cool and heat of this day.  Peace must be felt now, peace of the past is gone, future peace is a flimsy promise.  Our fantastic active minds.  Madness is the opposite of rational thought, the circulations of memories, knowledge, and instincts.

Bubble, bubble, bubble.  Multiply and add, division and subtraction is a bust.  The locals know the tally, they're from around here.  Actions and reactions, mystery.  Go from here.

3/30/21

The Awoken Swirl

In the burning early morning, the tasks ahead, the awoken swirl, the climbing walls.  Shut the easy eyes, lay a bit, smooth.  Rest right there.  Then and there.  Let it turn, let it travel, let it be.

Trip thinking.  Near the sea.  Listen to the sway.  Out on Galveston Island, near Jamaica Beach.  Texas reggae romps and raps.

Anything at all can be done, or attempted, at least.  Shake the cans, stir the pot, loosen up, policies and procedures are for the birds.  Like chickens, whose flight is more like an extended leap, ten feet high, forty feet long.  Or ostriches, who simply cannot fly through the air, no amount of flapping will lift their weight.  Grounded, captured, eaten, no doubt the egg came first.

3/28/21

Litter Of Runts

The Vax line is over there, near the donut table.  But you don't get a donut until you show your Vax Papers.  See how it works, follow the arrows and stand in the circles, six feet.  Mask the mouth and nose, wear gloves and ear plugs, think mush.  Move along.

Call me sir.  If you want.  If you need.  If you got to.  If you must.

Daily, we are unaffected, this obscene distraction.  Manipulation games and division, easy pickings in the gullible, hateful, and lame social crowd.  They stand small, learn what to think, and have two shallow faces.  Litter of runts.  They have absolutely no influence on civilization.

3/27/21

The Entire Kaleidoscopic Mind

Clear out the room, we got a schedule.  The timing of the concentration must be right, after the separation.  Prior would be difficult and frustrating, next to impossible to concentrate properly.  Intense thought over days and nights and weeks.  The entire kaleidoscopic mind.

Normality is misguided aspiration.  It does not exist, like the past and future.  The past did happen, most certainly, and the future could happen, it's all decisions and fate.  See now, hear now, smell now, taste now, feel now. Now exists.

The lily plants were reasonable.  They will bust out, they will arrive, just in time for the big event.  Polish the good china, defrost a ham, smash some potatoes.  Apple pie this time, honey.  Let's make it delicious, one with flakey crust.

Mocking Is Rocking

Inspiration met with envy, intelligence met with ridicule, decency met with scorn.  The modern ethic.  Progressives making progress against mockery.  Thin skins, the worst.  Humorless.

But mocking is rocking, and we rock this foolish boat, sailing into the merciless seas.  A mutiny is assured, squabbling is all they know.  Squirming and squealing come natural, whines are instinctual.  Greed has no brothers or sisters, it's an only child.  Usually, the offspring of insecurity and selfishness.

Take it like a human, quit being weak,  glare a bit more, ponder.  Encourage, observe, think.  Laugh when no one is around, it's a good habit, say anything.  Care a bit less.  Ask good questions.

3/15/21

Ten Thousand Or So To Go

Something easy to watch.  With a beat, any beat.  Listen to Neon Trees.   Lenny's Let Love Rule.  Badfinger and their tragic tale.

Think of the other colors too.  Green for aliens, purple for Prince, pink for Pink.  And, fuck cancer!  Let's see those stats, let's warp speed DNA Strand Therapy.  It's mostly in the genes, the cure could be prior to the disease.

A tough call, security should not be ignored, responsibilities remain.  Could probably coast all the way home, but want to accelerate coming out of the curves, want to hug the pavement, want to open it up.  Opportunities should not be squandered, now is the time to drive.  Ten thousand or so days and nights, only ten thousand or so to go.

3/13/21

Charmed

Shirts aglow with green.  Hats and banners.  The O's and Mc's.  Not a danged thing wrong with an Irish man or woman.  Except what's wrong with all other men and women.

A gesture of endearment.  No harm, but bug off, mate.  Two birds; one red, one blue.  Murals are truth.  They are.

Luck needs opportunity, luck needs space.  Badfinger is under appreciated indeed.  On a city ride, coasting, keeping in, not keeping out.  Glimpses of heaven.  Charmed.

3/12/21

Brain Stains

A predictable fleece, the bandit of Delaware.  Froth crusting in the corners of his mouth, the faint smell of bodily fluids.  Teeth stains, shirt stains.  Brain stains.  A rotting fool.

The world continues to turn, creep.  Earth is fine, moron.  Tomorrow will be incredible, no need to wait for the 4th Of July.  Remember to put me on the Gonzo List, the one in blue neon.  The one that glows.

Pull up your face, a dignified posture.  Look in all directions, deliberately.  Scan the place with your eyes, tune in with your ears, pick up the chatter.  Swig another shot of wine.  Taste the grapes of the Tre Venezie region of Italy.

3/10/21

Otherwise Automatic Thoughts

Asking questions and answering them too, this training is really easy.  Got a robot talking, telling us it's part of being human.  Ironic.  Making assumptions is old as time, the less, the better.  Now, go explore your own minds, your otherwise automatic thoughts.

This is just dressed up decency.  Customers talk, especially happy ones.  Chunk projects in the deep end see who goes and gets it.  Figuratively, of course.  All you non-swimmers and unable-to-swimmers calm down, no offense intended, hopefully none taken.

Authenticity is diminishing, along with creativity.  'Tell me more' usually works, less said is best, as always.  Let others shine.  Make notes, include only the interesting.  Dump the rest.

Encountered a Viking man in Saguache, Colorado.  Getting gas and paying inside.  He was wearing layers of fur, his belt held it all together, he was barefoot.  It was 19 degrees.  Inside he quipped "Is this a criminal interrogation?" when asked where he was headed.  Said he was going North to see his daughters.  As we were leaving, gassed up and watered up, we saw the Viking man walking back and forth from the rear of his parked station wagon to the front, with the hood up.  Right by the exit.  When asked if he needed help he became bellicose and said he dressed like this and has a job, and all that.  He demanded an apology.

"Colorado Blue Bird Day" by Woods

Colorado blue bird day.  Enjoy!  That's our mantra.  Again, 300 days a year.

"Fri Or Sunday" by Amos

JRBG!  lets get a ride this weekend (fri or sunday)????

"DOBRA" by MTB

Sunday looks to be the better day weather-wise.  Also, I'm working Friday.  Down for a Sunday ride.  Trails will probably be wet, but I'd love to hit one. Let's check DORBA later in the week.

"Wrong Turn" by jpg

Almost died up there.  Trudged through groin-high snow to save myself from a wrong turn.  Almost died up there.

"Mind Over Soul Endures" by jpg

thought in succession
rapid and easy
the day awaits
like a mountain a hundred miles away

loose but altered
very selectively
first thought best thought
proposing actual thought as worthy of expression too

these lines and patterns
weaving, skipping,
hiding, brutal and proud
mind over body fades, mind over soul endures

"Dumbass Mogul" by jpg

14 runs by 2.  Mush groins and quads, feel good.  Found my technique early.  Never waited in a line, on the lift 5 minutes after leaving our jeep...  One minor wipe on a dumbass mogul.

"Flat Took My Skis Off"  peoplesDuke

The powder is so thick here, caught an instep, the right ski wiggled violently.  Flipped and almost stayed up while traveling backwards towards a cliff.  Went down and tumbled.  Piece of cake compared to Spider Mountain.  However, flat took my skis off and walked down like a beaten man, sat at a picnic table for 45 mins freezing my ass off.

"Where's Zach!?" by peoplesDuke

I'm done.  By the restrooms.  Different spot.  Lower.  Y'all go ahead.  Where's Zach?  Where's Zach!?  Bring me to key to jeep after this run.

"Skeletal Science" by jpg

The McKenzie Method.  Skeletal Science.

"3 Men" by Woods

We're celebrating the lives of 3 men we lost to an avalanche about a month ago.  One of the friends was the owner of Bonfire Brewery.

"Bonfire Brew" by jpg

off to the west, near the nuclear tests
sits a pile of sand and a hornets nest
huge rocks and french white wines
aching for family and having good times

looks of knowing and hands of grease
saltless maragritas and two kinds of meat
bonfire brew near an amphitheater
blues get light from the noise of a heater

from gear to rides to room and board
made that way so we could afford
hospitality holds a lofty place
next to angels and the One of grace

knee high powder and catching breaths
in a state of mind and a state of unrest
sweetie wakes early and starts to howl
never heard her beg, never heard her growl

junior looks strong and he seems real smart
flaunts a huge smile and a tender heart
up near the divide in a valley of hope
lives a family who will always live near the slopes

a canyon was forged by the eagle river
if my life wasn't waitin' i'd try to live here
smartest man i ever knew got some good tests
it'll take more that that to put him to rest.

"Tuck"  by jpg

The air is crispy, cold, and clean.  Deprived of accustomed oxygen levels, but hydrated thoroughly.  Visually, the smooth slide is in my mind, lean into the mountain, lift the upper ski, relax, breath in numeric rhythms.  Tuck.  Loose.  But there is leeriness, there is pause, there is reluctance.  It will be shaken off by 11am, just before high noon.  Speed runs, and powder seeking, and burning quads.

"Lead On Breakfast" by jpg

I'll take lead on breakfast and Zach leads dinner.  Sunday...

\\\Breakfast.  Omelettes.  Thick Bacon.          Potatoes O'Brian.  Fruit.  Durango Coffee.

     \\\Prepared lunch.  Cheese.pepperoni..snacks.

\\\Dinner.  Ravioli.  Chicken dinner.  Graze.      Salad.

"Jefferson Depot Hamburger" by MTB

I'd like to try a Jefferson Depot hamburger.

"Room One Eleven" by Griff

Welp we are mask free in downtown McKinney room One Eleven..... Up, watched TT vs UT on TV, played in Lubbock.  Then Drove to Lubbock!  For next 2 days.

"The Elma Lift" by jpg

I ain't going near Star Wars!   Thinking Pitch's Gate to Serendipity.  Then the Elma Lift back to Bonanza Crossover.  It will be 10 degrees.  Plotting our initial runs.

"Zero Lines" by Crain

Wolf Creek is freaking amazing.  My favorite is the Treasure Chair Lift - so many great runs.  I was there on Super Bowl Sunday and Monday. Zero Lines, had 20 plus runs on both days. Star Wars is not bad, just has moguls involved.  All of their Blue runs are amazing though. You're gonna have a blast.  There is literally something for everybody.

"Kandi By One Eskimo" by Amos

Pdiddy!  Man, jeep trip!  The life you live....gravy...hey i need your help plz, i cant find chords for kandi by one eskimo....anywhere..

"Jeeping That Jank" by jpg

Been demolishing these highways since Childress, Texas. I mean jeeping that jank like a calm, frenzied cruiser.  The peoplesDuke asleep on the passenger side, wrapped in an acrylic and polyester New Mexican blanket, made in India, bought near Raton, New Mexico.  Then the E470 around the east side of Denver.  Elevation driving.  Like cowboys, hungry as we pull into Fort Collins.

"Pulcinella Pizzeria" by peoplesDuke

Limited seating, long waits at sit downs.  At Pulcinella Pizzeria.  Pretty darn good!  On the road.  Hey hey hey.  We gone.

"I Saw A Homeless Guy" by Amos

The Duke's line "I saw a homeless guy with a baseball bat, pickin' his nose"......classic....

"Saw A Documentary" by MTB

I was just thinking, "where'd that homeless guy get that baseball bat?!"  Also, I once saw a documentary about one of the first American doctors that performed gender reassignments and he practiced in Trinidad.  Always think about that when I pass through there.

"8 of the 10" by The Dodge.

We are good.  We return 8 of the 10.  Delicious.

"Seals And Croft" by TTop

Where y'all at??  Seals and Croft...good right about now.  That pizza 🍕 Damm!!

"Those Border Bums" by jpg

plenty of times we drank until 2
always waiting for the next gag
slowing down to back over the damage
next time that dude'll think twice

carry a crowbar under the driver's seat
pull it out if you need to back 'em up
be ready for a bloody nose and knuckle wounds
be ready to let the adrenaline loose

flung women around and went for gold
realizing the tragedy that was inevitable
racing over rocks and rivers and pavement
scabs are shed and ligaments jarred

don't get the shakedown over in new mexico
those border bums paid by the speeders
felt like the fix was in in Texline
sorry 'bout the cancer, call the number on tuesdays

"Protecting The Noggin"  by jpg

Really don't see the danger in skiing, even through amber vision goggles.  Sure, things can go bad, real bad, but protecting the noggin is the thing.  Don't leave that up to a rental helmet.  Go FOX.  Go FOX all the way.

"Wolf Creek Snow Report" by peoplesDuke

Mapped it out!  Yes. Yes.  Wolf Creek Snow Report 970-264-5639.

1. Night #1 we backtrack to Lakewood to motel.

2. Wolf Creek- great snow. We buy tickets and get rentals there. I called and they said it will be great snow and very few people.

3. Can't wait.

"Escape The Twilight Zone" by jpg

Need a shot of Rockies.   Some real.  Escape the Twilight zone.  I'd take Country Club to McKinney.  Google has no soul.  'The Bluetooth works.'  Brilliant.

"Frozen Waterfalls" by peoplesDuke

Zach claims we will see frozen waterfalls.

The Reality Of Shades

Original math, the math that still works, the math you grew up with.  Effort increases your chances, nothing tangible is truly deserved, only earned.  Good luck, bad luck, fate, those are the breaks.  Odds is all.  Folks are run over by busses daily, or weekly for sure.

This spectrum of colorful humanity, what a weird identity, especially knowing the reality of shades.  It's a fantastic miracle, any birth.  Any pigment of creation, any skin.  Get real.  New Coke sucks as bad as it did in the 80's.

Twist, twist in the wind.  Dish out more shame, it's an attention getter.  Like a gnat, or a lawn mower next door.  A true nuisance, but accepted.  We can all use more shame.

Melbourne Green

Novak in his Melbourne green, his Russian opponent was in yellow.  Three quick ones early, then another three the other way.  Nerves settling, minds erratic.  Move him around, side to side, up and back, keep it deep.  Hold serve, the serve must be held.  Use the knife when it matters most.

He's not digging in, he's tapping out, said John McEnroe.  He was knocked silly, he was demolished, Medvedev was schooled.  Taught.  Acted like a junior player, said McEnroe's brother.  Talking to himself after every lost point.  Exacerbated, yelling at the crowd to shut up.

The Joker down under was too tough again.  Stingy on the court, thoughtful, deliberate, precise.  He dominates the Southern Hemisphere, he is the equator buster.

Shattering The Skeleton

These rolling electricity waves, life itself in 2 hour blocks.  Dole out the life so it's fair and square.  Just enough to avoid a boring, cold death.  Blink if you must, even the tears are frozen, each breath like a burst of fog, each shiver shattering the skeleton.  Everyone wears layers.

Paint whatever you got in your mind.  Line your brushes up, get prepared, go sleeveless.  Colors, shapes, shadows, and shades. Don't care about the glare, it's a waste.  Obsess, instead.

From head to toe, bundle up, under the covers, near the flame.  Stranded like meat, locked down in the freezer, doors closed, lights off.  Deep.  I'll have another, make it two or three.  Keep it on ice, my honey, come on and dance with me.

2/14/21

Wrapped In Chain Link

They buzz like gnats, irritating and ruining.  Their words are empty of authentic reason, the dumb usually sound authentically unreasonable.  And so they do again.  Ignoring has been fabulous, the air's not as hot, the ass stink is gone, sanctimony is too hard to endure for long.  Same as it ever was.

The legislative chamber seemed small, shrinking into irrelevance, most everyone knows the score.  Wrapped in chain link, this predictable and disappointing scene.  Talking about boogie people as if boogie people were bad people.  We disco here, we turn and turn, we slide.  Staying alive with night fever and a brick house.

Save your coins, tip those seeking salvation.  Got an ace in my hand, got the card I need, simple and clean, beats the Queen and the King.  Gonna take the pot for sure, a double down is coming.  Act worried, act like nothing, act mad, act excited, act depressed.  Tell them what you got, they'll think you're bluffing.

Digital vagabonds.

Wandering the clouds.

Deactivation rebellion.

Bye blue birdie crowd.

Conform if you want.

Make it all go away.

Back to the way it was.

In the good ole good ole days.

The unborn don't care.

Warm in their wombs.

This life is going swell.

Ain't no gloom, ain't no doom.

Ready for what's next.

Let's get on with life.

These walls are closing in.

Gonna make it out alive.

Turned Eyes Aren't Closed Eyes

Then you realize, sunrises are incredible everywhere.  Blasting red pastels into new, blue skies.  Everything gets lit.  Like the truth coming through, like the real view, like blinding.  This is what hope really looks like.

Back is turned on the goons for now, they will wallow in their pits.  They will demonstrate their disgusting and uncivil ways. Goons are goons after all, they are cannibals at their core.  They will devour themselves.  It will be ugly, try not to watch.

Turned eyes aren't closed eyes, however, witnessing miracles and life, craving cuisine, noticing curves, laughing.  Sparkling.  Gazing.  Recording memories in our own thoughts, understanding exactly what is seen.  In stereo.

Imaginary Maze

The happiness is there for the taking.  Remember back, look ahead, feel the now.  This is a minor miracle, our very existence, no telling what's to come.  The wine was cold and tasty last evening, the antibiotics were kicking in, old pictures and talks.  Bust out of this imaginary maze.

With investment democracy, the swift survive.  Just when the heels get worn in, then the scramble of gathering balance, then the squeeze.  The arrogant deserve their fate.  Hold on through the panic, this boat will float fine, no dumping things overboard, no mutiny, no unity in the dark shadows.  Only light.

The fencing is permanent, entrance is for 'authorized individuals.'  Those with authorized papers, apparently.  Inside, the fumes are oppressive, oily and bitter.  Snide and awful gangsters.  The smell of them can be detected from 1,000's of miles.

1/24/21

Ready To Knock

Imagination is best.  All the colors, flashing.  Remembering late drive homes, windows cracked to get some air flow.  FM Radio stations played classic rock too much, just ran the same old tunes.  Needed a talk.

Compositions on a grand scale, like a nest of hot rats, 1969 was an interesting year.  What to do, what to do after peace and love.  Bring me dead flowers, we'll make it through, bring me dead flowers for these January blues.  Twinkle on, lights, twinkle on.  Darkness is easy, darkness is a lie.

The minute is now, write the scene.  You're superiors are waiting for the scripts.  Corrections, alterations, nice effort with the demo, strong lyrical moments.  Needs some formula, maybe a few shots of conformity, another somatic pill, a tone down, the forbidden must be hidden.  But it's no demo, no, no, no, it's ready to knock, it's ready to roll.

Those Ridiculous Books

Loud and proud, with a message of exclusion.  The negatives don't lie, the tape was running.  Played out to its inevitable end.  Mutually assured destruction, just scram and let it dissolve.  Nothing is without end.

Book companies are signing on the dotted line, as they melt.  Words matter now, not books.  Say exactly what you mean.  These muters are criminals of America, these muters are pure conformists, these muters will be muted themselves.  Ignored and avoided.

Simon's Schuster, the House of Random, Collins and Harper.  And the others.  Mush publishers, only mush allowed.  Write this mush, read this mush, think this mush.  Robots write those ridiculous books.
